How shopping on TshongNyo works
Learn how to shop locally in Bhutan: choose quantities, get an order number, chat with the store, pay the seller directly and arrange pickup.
Find a product near you
Browse groceries, clothing, electronics and items for your home. Use town and category filters to find local stores, and read the product description and available stock.
Ask the seller
Create one account for buying and selling, then verify your email. Use the product’s chat button to ask about sizes, condition or availability. Keep pickup details and payment confirmations in your conversation.
Place your order
Choose a quantity and add the item to your cart. Checkout creates a separate order number for each store. The seller must accept the order before stock is reserved; a request alone does not reserve an item.
Pay the seller directly
TshongNyo does not collect your payment. Wait for the seller to accept and agree on the payment method. Use your order number as a reference. A payment marked by a buyer or seller is their acknowledgement, not bank verification.
Arrange pickup or delivery
Check the store’s pickup address and hours. Delivery, if offered, and any delivery cost are agreed directly with the seller. After receiving the goods, confirm receipt in Orders. You can then leave a review for that store order.
If something goes wrong
Contact the seller in your order conversation. Use the store’s report button to flag a problem to the marketplace administrator. Return and refund arrangements must be agreed with the seller; TshongNyo does not provide an automatic refund service.
